To gain an account on Desire2Learn (D2L), instructors (faculty members who are using D2L) must agree to abide by the following conditions:

1. Instructors must follow appropriate pedagogical practices associated with online courses as articulated in the Readiness Review Resources and Guidelines.
2. All faculty members who request a D2L designer account must complete D2L Training.
3. Instructors should develop courses that conform to The Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, which provides for accessibility to individuals with disabilities.
4. Instructors are responsible to ensure the material included in the D2L class meet all copyright laws and regulations.
5. Instructors must follow all SDSU Technology Use policies.
6. Instructors must complete the online course request form. Only the instructor completing the form will have access to the D2L Course. The instructor is responsible for the course and may choose to add Teaching Assistants, Secondary Designers, Distance Education Support staff or other faculty or staff members.
